Purpose of Establishment >>


Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. declares this Human Rights Charter to actively implement human rights management, prevent human rights violations resulting from business operations, and mitigate related risks.
Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. supports and adheres to international standards and guidelines on human rights and labor, such as the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, ILO Core Conventions, and OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises, in order to fulfill the commitment to human rights management.

This Human Rights Charter applies to all employees of Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd., including executives, staff, and non-regular workers. In addition, Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. employees are required to adhere to this Human Rights Charter when dealing with suppliers, sales, and service organizations. Furthermore, it is recommended to respect this Human Rights Charter for all stakeholders involved in business relationships. In cases where the provisions of this Charter conflict with the local laws and regulations of a particular country, priority should be given to complying with the local laws and regulations, and if necessary, this Human Rights Charter may be revised to reflect the legal requirements and industrial characteristics of that country. Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. may also establish separate detailed policies as needed. Except for specific provisions in the laws and regulations of the respective country or the organization's articles of incorporation or bylaws, all employees of Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. are required to perform their duties in accordance with this Human Rights Charter.

  • Article 1 (Non-Discrimination)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. shall not discriminate against any employee on the grounds of gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, disability, age, family status, position, rank, contract duration, non-regular employment, membership in a labor union, social status, or political beliefs, in matters related to recruitment, hiring, promotion, training, wages, benefits, and other aspects of employment. Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. shall establish an organizational culture that respects the diversity of its employees.
  • Article 2 (Compliance with Working Conditions)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. complies with the legally mandated working hours in each country where it operates and provides all employees with fair compensation for their work, along with detailed salary statements. Furthermore, Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. offers sufficient opportunities for skills development and provides an appropriate work environment to enhance the capabilities and quality of life for all employees.
  • Article 3 (Humanitarian Treatment)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. respects the privacy of all employees and strictly protects their personal information. It prohibits any form of mental or physical coercion, harassment, or unfair treatment.
  • Article 4 (Prohibition of Forced Labor and Human Trafficking)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. does not force any of its executives and employees to work against their free will through physical or mental restraint, including modern slavery and human trafficking, and does not engage in acts such as assault, intimidation, or confinement as a condition of employment. It is not allowed to require executives and employees to surrender their government-issued identification cards, passports, or work permits.
  • Article 5 (Prohibition of Child Labor Exploitation)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. strictly prohibits child labor and ensures that the employment of minors does not limit their access to education.
  • Article 6 (Guarantee of Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. respects the labor laws of the countries where this Human Rights Charter applies and provides sufficient opportunities for all employees to engage in meaningful communication.
  • Article 7 (Guarantee of Industrial Safety)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. conducts regular inspections of facilities, equipment, and tools in the workplace to ensure that all employees can work in a safe environment. It establishes appropriate measures for the prevention of physical and mental risks and provides support for post-management.
  • Article 8 (Protection of Local Residents' Rights)
    All employees of Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. are mindful of not infringing upon the rights of local residents during the course of their work. They protect the rights of local residents regarding safety, health, and freedom of residence.
  • Article 9 (Protection of Customers and Business Partners' Rights)
    All employees of Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. must ensure that the rights of stakeholders, including customers and business partners, are not violated during the course of their work. They take the necessary measures to prevent any infringement of the rights of stakeholders and protect the personal information collected through business activities to the best of their abilities.
  • Article 10 (Compliance with living wages)
    Hyundai Sungwoo Holdings Co., Ltd. goes beyond paying the minimum wage guaranteed by law and adheres to the principle of paying a living wage necessary for the basic living of executives and employees and their families.
